KARACHI: The local authorities have retrieved 7-acre of occupied land near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport during an operation led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Malir, ARY News reported on Sunday.
The local administration said that overall seven acres of government land occupied by a mafia was retrieved in an operation led by DC Malir.
The authorities cancelled the allotment of the occupied land before vacating it. It was learnt that the land mafia allotted the land with the nexus of the government officers. During the operation, illegal construction on government land was also demolished.
A case had also been lodged against the occupied land near Karachi airport with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Karachi.
